Slackline Yoga or Slackasana is a unique practice that teaches complete body awareness.  It is a moving meditation that will redefine your sense of balance and mental focus while you balance on a 1-inch wide 'yoga mat' (slackline).  In this mini workshop, you’ll learn the basics of the Slackasana series. The practice includes standing (commitment), kneeling (core strength), sitting (focus) and arm balancing (breath).  All skill levels are encouraged. Take your yoga off the mat!

Martika is a professional national variety entertainer based in Kansas City, MO. She is trained in a variety of prop manipulation, and sideshow arts. Martika's passion for performance arts started in 2008 through training in dance, from jazz to classical ballet. Her passion flourished through the discovery of hula hoop dance in 2009. She can be seen performing across the USA. In addition Martika teaches a variety of circus inspired workshops.

Slackline Fundamentals [Bonus Activity]

Slackline Yoga or Slackasana is a unique practice that teaches complete body awareness.  It is a moving meditation that will redefine your sense of balance and mental focus while you balance on a 1-inch wide 'yoga mat' (slackline).  In this mini workshop, you’ll learn the basics of the Slackasana series. The practice includes standing (commitment), kneeling (core strength), sitting (focus) and arm balancing (breath).  All skill levels are encouraged. Take your yoga off the mat!

In this mini-workshop Lawren Alice will introduce you to the art of body painting and talk about its various applications used in different cultures throughout history, as well as familiarize you with the proper materials and skills needed to apply paint to skin. This is a hands-on workshop, so expect to be encouraged to paint, and get painted. Artists of all ages are absolutely welcome.
